A new teaser from the Game Show Network is revealing Valerie Bertinelli’s returning to hosting.
The Monday, March 17, teaser comes nearly a year after Bertinelli, 64, announced that she was saying goodbye to the Food Network after the show she hosted, Kids Baking Championship, was not renewed for another season.
Now, she’s returning to her hosting roots for GSN’s Bingo Blitz.
“Bingo is coming to Game Show Network,” a smiling Bertinelli says in the clip. “But you know around here we like color and excitement and lots of fun.”
Valerie Bertinelli Says Food Network Doesn’t Focus on ‘Cooking’ Anymore
With the help of Bertinelli’s years of hosting experience, Game Show Network is taking “bingo to the next level and way beyond.”
Bingo Blitz will be like “nothing you’ve seen before,” Bertinelli continues. “I am having so much fun and I think you will too.”
According to GSN’s website, each episode of Bingo Blitz will follow two contestants who “compete in a dynamic blend of trivia and bingo.”

It’s “the ultimate game of knowledge, strategy and luck,” as “contestants answer trivia to earn bingo balls and points.”
The show is scheduled to premiere on Monday, April 14.
Last year, Bertinelli shared her opinion on the current state of the Food Network after being let go from the network.
In a Threads post, the celebrity chef wrote, “I fell in love with Food Network two decades ago because of all the amazing ITK (in the kitchen) shows. 30 minute meals, Ina, Giada…the list goes on. I learned so much. It’s sad it’s not about cooking and learning any longer. Oh well, that’s just business, folks.”
Months prior to her statement, in January 2024, Bertinelli revealed in a now-deleted Instagram video that the Food Network did not ask her back.
Valerie Bertinelli Cut From ‘Kids Baking Championship’: ‘Hurt My Feelings’
Admittedly, Bertinelli said she was crushed by the decision.
“I wanted to sleep on it because it really hurt my feelings, and I know it’s not supposed to. Logically, I know that it’s business, budget cuts, right?” she told her followers.
But despite all of that, Bertinelli said it “really sucks” to not have been asked back.
In addition to not being asked back to host Kids Baking Championship, Bertinelli’s show Valerie’s Home Cooking was also canceled following its 14th season.
“I have no idea why. And I didn’t say anything last summer because honestly, I was hoping they would change their mind. But they have not. So this is it, this is the final season,” she shared in a different deleted Instagram post.
