Ellen DeGeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi, have completely settled across the pond — and their home is a chic sight to behold.
“Our sheep keep coming inside,” DeGeneres, 67, wrote via Instagram on Monday, June 18. “To be fair, we do have a piece of furniture that looks like a sheep, but that one doesn’t try to eat our rugs.”
The former Ellen DeGeneres Show host uploaded a video of four sheep wandering inside her home via sliding glass doors. The menagerie of farm animals wandered into the living area, which included a flannel blanket draped over a leather armchair and a copper-colored striped area rug. There is also a fluffy, white bed for DeGeneres’ dog to rest.
In another portion of the clip, DeGeneres filmed one of the sheep walking through the glass door into another room. The animal even walked past a sculpture that looked like a sheep.
“Yes we have house sheep,” she jokingly added in her caption.
While DeGeneres was seemingly preoccupied by the unexpected houseguests, many of her social media followers were amazed by the home decor in the background.
“I need to see a full home tour, please 
,” HGTV maven Joanna Gaines wrote via Instagram comment, while another social media user added, “Love the house .”
DeGeneres and de Rossi, 52, relocated from Montecito, California, to the Cotswolds in England late last year.
“My wife. My best friend. The love of my life. Thank you for being you and loving me,” DeGeneres gushed about her wife via Instagram in December 2024, before detailing their international move. “So happy we get to travel and explore the world together in the next 20 years, and looking forward to our first snowy Christmas.”
At the time, DeGeneres simply called their residence a “farmhouse.”

The couple, who wed in 2008, have also hit up local hotspots such as Soho Farmhouse.
“She was with two female friends walking from the car park towards the farm buildings where the clubhouse is — we passed on a stone bridge over a stream,” an eyewitness exclusively told Us Weekly in November 2024. “She was dressed in a country casual way. She was super understated and no one was really paying much attention to her … but then you just don’t expect to see Ellen there as it’s more a haunt of U.K. celebrities.”
While DeGeneres and de Rossi have remained relatively mum about their life in the British countryside, the Finding Dory star has long had a passion for interiors.
“[Portia is] as passionate about horses as I am about houses. But we don’t delve into each other’s silos,” DeGeneres jokingly told The Montecito Journal in 2023. “In fact, I can’t really get her to go into a furniture store with me unless there’s a horse in there somewhere.”
