Cory Monteith’s mom, Ann McGregor, has died at age 74.
According to her online obituary, McGregor “passed away peacefully” on June 18. While a cause of death was not listed, the obit stated that McGregor received “impeccable care” from the “doctors, nurses and palliative care staff at St. Paul’s Hospital” in Saskatoon, Canada.
“Ann enjoyed her time gardening, along with her artistic pursuits on her acreage in Shirley, BC, together with Cornelius, Harley and her love birds. Ann was a person of strong character and she carried that throughout her life,” the obit read. “We want to thank Ann’s close friends and acquaintances who have been there to support her over the years.”
McGregor is survived by the late Glee star’s younger brother, Shaun Monteith, her siblings and their respective families. A private send-off will be held in McGregor’s honor in lieu of a funeral.

The obituary also featured tributes from McGregor’s loved ones and fans of her son.

McGregor’s death comes one month after Cory’s father, Joe Monteith, passed away. According to Joe’s obituary, Joe died on May 12 following an illness. He was 75 years old. Joe is survived by his wife, Yvette Monteith, son Shaun, stepkids and grandchildren.
Joe and McGregor divorced in 1989, For most of Cory’s life, he was estranged from his father. However, the pair briefly reconnected prior to the actor’s death in 2013. Cory died at age 31 following an accidental drug overdose.

“I lost my son. He should have known not to touch that drug again,” Joe said to People about losing his son at the time. “It’s just ripping my insides out and tearing me apart.”
After news broke of Cory’s death in 2013, McGregor thanked her sons’ fans for their well-wishes following the tragic events.
“I would like to thank all of Cory’s supporters at this extremely emotional time,” she tweeted in August 2013. “Your support has been overwhelming … thank you !”
