3 Overlooked Movies You Should Stream in August 2025: ‘Nobody’ and More

It’s a shame how many great movies get forgotten.

It makes sense, given that we’re all constantly drowning in content, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try to give those films a little extra love now and then.

In August, the Watch With Us team is highlighting three titles from your favorite streamers that could use more attention.

If you’re a movie lover, check out these entertaining and overlooked picks on Tubi, Hulu and Amazon Prime Video.

‘Sausage Party’ (2016)

Sausage Party frequently gets cited as an example of ridiculously raunchy adult animation, and it certainly is that. But what doesn’t get talked about enough is how this movie is a shockingly clever critique of organized religion. The story follows Frank (Seth Rogen), a hot dog in a grocery store populated by sentient food.

All the food items believe that when they are chosen by the “Gods” (human beings), they will be taken to “the great beyond” — a grocery store version of heaven. But when Frank and his friends start to realize the great beyond might not be as heavenly as they hoped, their whole way of life begins to fall apart. The movie gets surprisingly thought-provoking — at least, until it turns into a giant food orgy.

3 Underrated Comedy Movies You Should Watch in August 2025

‘The Way Way Back’ (2013)

Duncan (Liam James) is a shy, introverted boy whose mother (Toni Collette) is dating a total jerk named Trent (Steve Carell). When their poorly blended family spends the summer at Trent’s beach house, Duncan just wants to get away from them all — but he stumbles into a life-changing job at a local waterpark managed by Owen (Sam Rockwell).

The Way Way Back is funny, tender and incredibly charming. If you try to say you didn’t fall a little bit in love with Rockwell while watching this movie, well, we simply won’t believe you.

‘Nobody’ (2021)

The trailer for this movie’s sequel dropped this week, and a few of the Watch With Us team members were intrigued — especially since we’d never seen the original. Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul) stars in Nobody as Hutch, a mild-mannered family man who hides a dark past as an assassin.

When his family is threatened by a figure from his past, Hutch is forced to leap into violent, butt-kicking action. He was successfully “nobody” for 12 years — but not anymore. Nobody is a funny, smart and enjoyable action thriller that totally sells Odenkirk as an action star.
