Justin Bieber is treading water — both personally and professionally.
“Justin has felt lost recently,” a source close to the pop star and his wife, Hailey Bieber, exclusively tells Us Weekly. “His friend group around him has shifted, and he is going through a lot of changes.”
Justin, 31, has been trying to balance parenting his and Hailey’s 9-month-old son, Jack Blues, and recording a new album.
“Navigating fatherhood, trying to put out music [and] past traumas surfacing has been a lot for him,” the source shares.
Justin Bieber Through the Years
However, a shakeup in Justin’s inner circle has delayed the follow-up to his Grammy-nominated 2021 album, Justice.
The singer parted ways with his longtime manager, Scooter Braun, in 2023 and more recently had a falling out with his childhood friend and former business partner Ryan Good.
Justin announced on Instagram in April that he was “no longer involved” in Drew House, the clothing brand he cofounded with Good in 2018. One month later, sources told TMZ that Good, 41, fears Justin’s church, Churchome, is a cult, which lead pastor Judah Smith quickly denied.

“People close to him worry he may be hanging out with the wrong people,” the insider tells Us. “He has cut a lot of friends out of his life and has a hard time trusting others at this point when it comes to his music and business affairs.”
Us Weekly has reached out to Justin’s rep for comment.
Justin Bieber’s Ups and Downs Through the Years
Fans and friends alike have been expressing concern for the former child star for months.
“Whatever he’s going through, I pray for him and hope he’s OK,” Jason “Poo Bear” Boyd — who cowrote some of Justin’s biggest hits, including “Where Are Ü Now,” “What Do You Mean?” and “Despacito (Remix)” — told The Hollywood Reporter in April.
An unnamed former team member, meanwhile, told the outlet, “Seeing him disintegrate like this … it’s watching the embodiment of someone not living their purpose. He’s lost. There’s no one protecting him because there’s no one there willing to say no to him. You say no, you get blown out.”
However, Justin’s rep told Us at the time, “As Justin forges his own way forward, these unnecessary stories and inaccurate assumptions will continue. But, they won’t deter him from staying committed to following the right path.”
Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber’s Relationship Timeline
The musician himself has been candid about his struggles. He told his Instagram followers in March that he has “always felt unworthy” and admitted in a post on Monday, June 16, that he is a “broken” person with “anger issues.”
“I tried to do the work my whole life to be like the people who told me I needed to be fixed like them. And it just keeps making me more tired and more angry,” he continued. “The harder I try to grow the more focused on myself I am.”
As Justin continues to publicly work through his issues, Hailey, 28, has found success with her skincare brand, Rhode, which e.l.f. Beauty acquired for $1 billion in May.
The Biebers secretly married in September 2018 and welcomed Jack, their first child, in August 2024.
